Competition for Sixth formers in North East England

Prize

All expenses paid visit to European Parliament in either Strasbourg or Brussels to take part in parliament’s Euroscola day for up to 24 Sixth Formers + 2 staff. The visit will take place in late February or early March and will involve two days out of school.

Competition

Teams of up to 8 pupils can submit an entry. The party which ultimately travels to Strasbourg/Brussels may be made up of several teams from several winning schools.

Teams are asked to submit a poster which encourages young people to vote in the 2014 European Parliamentary elections.

The poster should be bright and bold and reflect the plurilingualism of the European Union. Entrants should also demonstrate an understanding of the type of decisions made by the European Parliament.

Each entry must be submitted electronically to Europe.direct@durham.gov.uk by 22nd November 2013.
