European Day of Languages celebrations in Durham – A selection of photographs from European Day of Languages activities in Durham City. What did you do to celebrate?
Each curriculum area incorporated a European dimension into lessons that week – particularly on the 26th. We also held a Burnside Macmillan coffee morning with a European twist. Staff dressed up, cakes were baked and donated including a beautiful Black forest Gâteau and a selection of Danish pastries / Swiss roll etc were for sale. A raffle to win a hamper of continental goodies took place – all proceeds to Macmillan – total £408.00! Fantastic day both for Macmillan and raising European awareness across the curriculum!
