Following a successful Comenius REGIO project with partners in Northern France to develop partnerships between schools, museums and archive services to support learning about the First World War, we are hosting a free event for the region’s teachesr at the Durham Light Infantry Museum in Durham on May 20th from 1230 – 1500.

The half day event will begin with a self guided visit to museum collection, lunch and then a series of presentations about teh project, the pupils’ learning and also the new Durham at war website. The museum’s education staff will run three taster workshops featuring object handling, poetry and art and also a session investigating the life of an indicvidual soldier.
