The winners of this year’s Song for Europe competition are pupils from Newbottle Primary Academy in Houghton le Spring with their rendition of Chu Chu Ua. The lively rendition, complete with actions had the whole audience of over 300 pupils from 26 North East schools on their feet.

St Aloysius Roman Catholic School from Hebburn in South Tyneside came second.
