The Lumiere Festival runs from 14 – 17 November in Durham City. It is a great event which lights up our city and brings tens of thousands of visitors to explore its streets and discover 37 different and amazing light installations.
We are proud to be associated with one installation – The Friendship tree, which articulates the inter-connectivity of communities around the world and how we must act together to protect our fragile environment.
The artwork was developed with contributions from over 1000 young people in 20 different countries and with support from young people of many nationalities who work, live and study in our county.
