See how languages influenced many different people in our region.

Following our successful regional languages festival, Express Yourself North East, the co-ordinator has compiled an e-book of all the stories shared of people’s languages, life and career journeys as part of the Festival’s ‘How Languages Changed My Life’ series. This includes stories from an interesting mix of people who are from the North East, or came here to live, work or study – including you, as well as teachers, international students, police officers and more.  We want to use these stories to inspire people of all ages to learn languages, but in particular young people – as part of our efforts to promote language learning linked to future international experiences, skills and career opportunities.
