Representatives of the 6,500 international students at Durham University were welcomed by The Rt Worshipful Mayor of Durham, Chair of Durham County Council and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global) of Durham University at a special event in Durham Town Hall.
The new students join a community of students and staff which represents over 130 different nations. The Freshers were introduced to some of the county’s tourism attractions by colleagues from Visit Durham, The Auckland Project and Beamish Museum.
A wonderful event, full of joy and laughter and in celebration of our value for diversity.
