Celebrating Primary Languages
Beamish Hall Hotel
Tuesday 9 July
0930 – 1430

An opportunity to learn from excellent regional practice as well as from national leaders in teaching of languages in the primary school. Attendance is FREE but places are limited and early application is recommended.

School staff who have recently taken part in ERASMUS+ intensive upskilling courses will share ideas for language activities together with their pupils. They will be joined by colleagues from the Spanish Embassy, Songs for Languages and One Third Stories who will each highlight resources to support language development. Nattalingo will also bring her mobile French library bus for staff to browse!

A feature of the day will be to allow delegates to consider progression and how pupil achievement can be measured. A template to support transition to secondary school will also be presented.

It promises to be an informative and enjoyable day with many ideas to take away durham.gov.uk/Tubingen50 to support teaching and learning in the primary classroom.

Case studies will be presented using both French and Spanish.
